Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Find Utah Photographers collects, how we use it, and your choices—including for photographers listed from public information.
Who we are
Find Utah Photographers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Utah photography matching service that helps people looking for photographers discover possible fits and, if they choose, request an introduction. We are not a photography studio, booking platform, or marketplace.
Questions about this policy: [email protected].
Information we collect from customers
When you use the matching quiz or request an introduction, we may collect:
- Contact details: first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
- Session preferences: session type, preferred area, travel radius, setting preferences, timing, who will participate, special elements, budget range, photography style, preferred contact method, and any notes you add.
- Consent record: the time you agree that we may use your details to show matches and share your request with photographers you select.
- Match activity: which photographers were shown, which you selected, and related match scores or explanations generated by our matching logic.
- Marketing attribution: UTM and related campaign parameters from the link that brought you here (stored in a short-lived cookie and saved with your lead if you submit a request).
Quiz answers may be kept temporarily in your browser’s session storage so you can move between steps and see results. That local copy is cleared after a successful introduction request, or when your session ends.
Information about photographers
We maintain a curated database of photographer profiles used for matching. Profiles may include business name, photographer name, service area, categories, approximate pricing, style attributes, short descriptions, website or Instagram links, and profile images.
Many profiles are created or updated by us from publicly available business information (for example public websites, social profiles, or other public listings) before a photographer has claimed or opted into Find Utah Photographers. Appearance in our matching results does not mean the photographer has partnered with us, endorsed us, or agreed in advance to receive leads.
We may mark profiles as claimed or unclaimed for our internal operations. We do not publish photographers’ private email or phone numbers on the public site as part of the consumer matching flow.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Run matching and show suggested photographers based on your answers.
- Process “Connect Me” / introduction requests and share your request and contact details with the photographers you selected (and, as needed, with our operators who help route those requests).
- Contact photographers—including those whose profiles we curated from public information—about a customer request when you ask for an introduction, using publicly available or operator-known contact channels.
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
- Measure funnel performance, advertising effectiveness, and product quality.
- Respond to opt-out, correction, deletion, and support requests.
- Comply with law and protect our rights, users, and the integrity of the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share customer contact details with photographers until you request an introduction and select who should receive it.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We may use:
- A small cookie to remember UTM / campaign attribution across pages during your visit.
- An admin session cookie so authorized operators can access the private admin area.
- Google Analytics and/or Google Ads (when configured) to measure site usage and conversions. Those providers may collect device, browser, approximate location, and interaction data under their own policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit some features (for example attribution or admin login).
How we store and protect data
Lead and photographer records are stored in our application database (currently hosted via Supabase / cloud infrastructure). Access to customer contact details and admin tools is limited to authorized operators. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for a small service, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We keep customer lead data for as long as needed to fulfill introductions, operate the service, resolve disputes, measure results, and meet legal obligations. We may delete or anonymize older records when they are no longer needed.
When we share information
We may share information with:
- Photographers you select for an introduction, including your name, contact details, and relevant session preferences so they can respond.
- Service providers who host our site, database, email, or analytics tools, solely to help us run Find Utah Photographers.
- Professional advisors or authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
If the service is sold, merged, or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy with equivalent protections.
Your choices (customers)
You can use the site without creating an account. Submitting contact details and requesting an introduction is optional and requires your consent checkbox.
To access, correct, or delete your lead information, or to ask us to stop contacting you, email [email protected]. We will respond as soon as practical. We may retain limited records needed for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
Photographer listing, outreach, and opt-out
If you are a photographer listed on Find Utah Photographers—including listings created from public information without a prior opt-in—you may email [email protected] to:
- Request correction of inaccurate profile details.
- Claim your profile or update how you are represented.
- Opt out of future outreach about customer introduction requests (we will note your preference and stop contacting you for new leads).
- Request removal or deactivation of your listing from matching results. We will honor good-faith removal requests as soon as practical.
Opting out of outreach or requesting removal does not automatically erase historical operational records of past introductions already shared, but we will stop using your listing for new consumer matches once deactivated.
Children
Find Utah Photographers is intended for adults arranging photography services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
